What’s New @ FreeAgent – 2023 Year in Review

Check out our recap of some of the amazing feature updates and product enhancements we unleashed in 2023!

AI Assistant for Admins

Now admins can utilize FreeAgent CRM’s AI as a command line interface to build reports, navigate the CRM, create and update contacts and other App records, and more. We’d love your feedback before making this feature available to non-admins too.
 
You can turn on the AI assistant by going to Settings / Integrations / OpenAI and clicking ‘Enable AI Assistant’. Once enabled you can tell the AI which Apps it should know about, and which fields in each App to pay attention to. This informs how it responds when you ask it to do things for you!

You can access the AI Assistant via the command line icon on the right hand menu.

Here are some prompts you can try:
 
“Show me all contacts”
“Build a bar chart showing me all contacts by lead stage created in the last week”
“Go to a list of deals with a close date within this quarter”
“Go to ‘John Doe'”
“Update ‘John Doe’ set lead stage to SQL”
“Update current record with owner to me”
“Create contact Brock Purdy brock@49ers.com 650-555-1212 Sales Manager”
 
We will be publishing more prompt examples for you to try shortly. This is a beta feature & we welcome your feedback as we continue to expand our generative AI capabilities.
 

Knowledge Base AI Assistant

Now your whole team has access to a knowledge base bot to get their FreeAgent CRM questions answered. Use our generative AI integration to save time and get the information you need to achieve peak productivity.

New Timeline 🤩 for All Users

Now admins can activate an improved Timeline that includes direct access to Activities like Notes, Tasks, Emails, Phone Calls, Texts, and Attachments. Wow! With this improved timeline the Related List gets much easier to navigate as all the Activities vanish, 🪄 reducing clutter and increasing focus.
 
Turn it on via the Company Settings ‘Use Latest UI’ option:

Once activated, here are the various ‘glances’ available from your new timeline:

Here are some pro tips for Admins on setup and use of the new Timeline:
 
1- The related list will determine which activity areas show up in the Timeline for an App. You can manage the related list via App Setup / Related List
2- The order of the activity areas is set by their order in the Related List setup. Reorder them on the related list to change the tab order on the Timeline
3- Use 1-column Forms for View and Edit for best results with the new timeline. This setting can be changed on App Setup / Form Builder / Settings
4- This new timeline will become the new UI standard in a future update. Check it out today and send us your feedback!
 

FreeAgent Webforms

Now admins can deploy beautiful webforms straight from FreeAgent: to capture important information from prospects and customers with ease. 

Say goodbye to deploying webforms through various providers like Google Forms, JotForm, or Cognito Forms, only to grapple with connecting them to a Google sheet, setting up zaps in Zapier, and meticulously mapping fields to the CRM. (And then crossing your fingers that everything remains working.)
 
Instead admins can now create a beautiful webform directly in FreeAgent. Here’s an example 😍
Admins can build out fields using the very easy-to-use Form Builder, manage all their Publish Settings, see all previously submitted entries from an Inbox as well.

When editing Publish Settings admins can map webform fields directly to a FreeAgent app using Flip-to-App. No more integration hassle! Webform data flows easily and reliably straight into the CRM.

New Self-Service Support Portal

Now authorized admins can utilize a new self-service support portal to log support issues, check issue status, and provide supplemental support information to the FreeAgent team. Once authorized, admins will see a new option under their profile menu:

Upon clicking, admins will see a new browser window open where a portal session will be initiated where they can see all their support issues.

They can log a new issue easily by clicking the “New Issue” button.

As FreeAgent support personnel work the ticket, admins see each update directly on the ticket, including resolution information.

Last but certainly not least, this new Support Portal is also available for your organization to use with your customers. It’s configurable, fast, and easy! Be sure to reach out for more information, and expect future updates on this part of the FreeAgent platform over the coming month.

Form Builder

Now admins can setup and maintains forms more easily using the new Form Builder. See the changes you make as you make them. Find fields faster & finish form layout changes faster.

New HR Apps in App Gallery

Now admins can add HR Apps for Employees and Candidate Hiring (Candidates). 
 
You will notice a new widget is available for the Employee app too – an HR Org Chart. It’s made to work with the employee app and requires no setup.
